What’s Under the Hood
Here’s the thing: it runs on 400V and cranks out 2500W. That means you get a lot of heat without drawing a ton of current, which is a big win on standard industrial power. At just 300mm long, it slips into those cramped heating zones with zero fuss. No need to tear apart your whole machine design just to make it fit. And it gets hot fast. The warm-up is quick, and once it’s running, the temperature stays steady under a constant load.
The Build
The quartz tube is filled with halogen gas. That’s what helps protect the filament and stops it from burning out too soon. A reflective coating on the inside throws that infrared energy forward, so more of the heat goes where you need it. The R7s connector is simple and straightforward. Two pins, straight through. It wires up in a snap and locks in place perfectly. Seriously, swapping it into an existing fixture is a breeze.
Where It Shines
This tube is your go-to for focused, localized heating. Think plastic forming, curing adhesives, or pre-heat stations. The watt density is high, so the heat transfer is rapid. But, and this is important, that kind of power needs respect. You have to plan for proper cooling and shielding.
