Power, Voltage, and Size—Kept Real
The usual setup is a 300mm halogen tube at 2500W, and we run it at 400V. That keeps the current manageable while still dumping heat fast. Going with 400V means you can use smaller wiring and reduce stress on the connections. And the 300mm length? It gives you a tight heat footprint that lines up with the preform’s neck and body zones—so you’re not wasting energy outside the target.
Materials and Design—Built to Stay Calm Under Fire
The halogen element holds steady over its life. Less drop-off means fewer drifts in your blow molder settings. The quartz envelope handles thermal shock, and a hard coating helps fight contamination—the kind that can create hot spots and lead to early burnout. Then there’s the R7s base. It’s an industrial-grade connection that locks in quickly and keeps solid contact even when things get shaky.
What It Feels Like on the Line
In PET blowing, you need heat that responds immediately. This lamp hits temperature fast, and the compact shape slips into tight tooling without a fight. Now, here’s the trade-off: 2500W at 400V is high heat density, so your machine’s cooling and shielding need to be properly set up. Keep that in check, and you get the good part—fewer surprise stops and heating performance you can count on, shift after shift.
