You run into real problems with voltage drop and current load. If you don’t handle it right, your wiring gets bulky and your heat becomes patchy. We solve this by using high-voltage setups. It keeps the amperage under control and the wiring slim. By spreading the wattage across a continuous quartz envelope, the heat stays uniform from one edge to the other. It means your glass doesn’t warp and your coatings stay exactly where they should be. The nitty-gritty on materials Heat makes things move. At these temperatures, a long lamp can actually start to sag under its own weight. To stop that, we use heavy-wall quartz tubing. It stays rigid and holds its shape. Then there’s the wavelength. For Low-E glass, you can’t just heat the surface; you need the energy to actually get into the glass. We use coated quartz to shift the spectrum so the heat penetrates deep into the substrate. Because of that, you have to make sure your tunnel’s ventilation can actually keep up. If the airflow is too weak, the heat just sits in the chamber. That’s a quick way to burn out your lamp ends.
